*ISOC Sierra Leone Chapter commemorates Global Encryption Day*
On behalf of the ISOC-Executive, I want to thank all those who attended the ISOC-SL 2022 Global Encryption Day National Awareness Conference yesterday. A special thanks to Mr Daniel Chaytor, head of Information Technology Department at IPAM for his brilliant presentation on Encryption and its importance to society. Many thanks to the lecturers and students from IPAM, University of Sierra Leone, Central (Formally Canadian) University, Njala, LICSSAL, and Eastern University for the efforts made towards coming to the occasion. Our apologies to those who couldn’t make it due to travel arrangements. Our thanks also to the media houses for helping us to get the message to the nation.
The Presentation by the Abdulai Tamba Lebbie was well received by attendees and the media. We are pleased to inform you all that Mr. Abdulai Tamba Lebbie has been invited by the SLBC PODIUM Executive Director to be interviewed today live on the SLBC midday programme PODIUM about ISOC and the Global Encryption Awareness Campaign. A huge result for the conference.
Mr Abdulai Tamba Lebbie will also receive the Le500 competition prize for his excellent presentation.
Lastly but not least, a big thank you Alfria Nelson Williams who supported the programme with the Banner for the conference and to all the other members who made this programme a success. To the team. Edward Williams, Alpha Bangura and Victor Mambu for excellent team. Preso Alhaji Mansaray is out of the country but gave his usual support for the success of the event.
